Five new Friday brunches to try in Dubai this weekend

Here are five new brunches to try in Dubai this weekend for those who are not currently dieting or partaking in dry January.

Old Skl Brunch at O Lounge:  

After selling out over 100 events across the UK, the Old Skl Brunch concept finally makes its Dubai debut on Friday 8 January. O Lounge at VOCO Dubai on Sheikh Zayed Road is the location for a brunch inspired by music from the nineties and noughties where you can enjoy a delicious a la carte menu, unlimited beverages and all your favourite old-skool anthems. Brunchgoers can also expect e a lip sync battle, prizes for best fancy dressed and an after party to carry on into the night. Fridays from 3pm to 7pm. La Fiesta De Lola at Lola Taberna Española:

Kick-starting the weekend in style, Lola introduces the lively ‘La Fiesta De Lola’ brunch. With live food stations, including one of Dubai’s first Jamón bars and a paella stand, this market-style brunch will celebrate the very best of Spanish cuisine amidst a vibrant atmosphere. Both the food and lively libations will be unlimited and complemented by tunes from a DJ. Lola promises guests an unforgettable afternoon savouring great food and even better company. The Soho Streetbrunch at Soho Beer Garden:

Hip new urban venue, Soho Beer Garden located in Meydan has recently launched its weekly Soho Streebrunch. The new Friday event features live bands, entertaining games and unique menu that includes smoked chicken and chorizo croquettes, prawn cocktail, and traditional pretzels for starters. Veal Bratwurst, lamb merguez, beef chorizo and chicken are all available from the grill, while main courses options involve herb-marinated picalou chicken, pulled Wagyu beef and Italian flatbread. Guests can expect double chocolate browniesprofiteroles, an ice cream assortment, and sliced fresh fruits from the dessert menu. The Big Brazilian Brunch at Delta Hotels by Marriott, JBR:

Brazilian rooftop spot, Fogueira Restaurant and Lounge, welcomes guests for The Big Brazilian Brunch that offers unlimited traditional Churrasco BBQ to satiate all weekend cravings. Promising to capture the true essence of Brazil, the brunch not only indulges your cultural appetite with succulent fresh off the grill meats and vegetables but also engulfs your senses with a live Latino band. The brunch also includes popular Brazilian dishes such as Feijoada (a popular Brazilian dish of black beans), Bobo de Camarao (a traditional seafood stew) and Farofa-toasted cassava flour. McGettigan’s DWTC is giving a whole new meaning to day trading with the launch of their ‘Wall Street Exchange’ Brunch. If you know your stocks from your shares and your yield from your dividend, then this is the brunch for you! Guests will be offered the chance to take part in the ‘Drinks Exchange Game’ as part of their brunch package to bid on premium drinks with fluctuating prices displayed on screens throughout the brunch. A McGettigan’s Pit Master will be on hand to help guests spend their hard-earned cash in the drinks exchange, as well as dishing out on the spot prizes for those brave enough to trade!
