A new rooftop eatery is opening at Sofitel Dubai Downtown

The Tipsy Lion is a causal open-air eatery with one of the biggest terraces in the city.

Tipsy Lion is a new rooftop venue at Sofitel Dubai Downtown, boasting an extensive selection of beverages and an adults playground. Expect pool, table football and drink pong, set to a soundtrack of live music, performed by the best local talents. 

Located on the 8th floor of the five-star hotel, The Tipsy Lion offers a spacious venue filled with charm, character and cheekiness. Guests can expect friendly staff, and al fresco dining on the expansive terrace, overlooking Dubai’s skyline. 

The menu features both British and international favourites, including burgers, steaks, pizzas and a selection of sharing platters. Those looking for something smaller will be delighted with the bar menu featuring twists on bar classics including black calamari, crazy spicy prawns and triple cooked chips. Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for with dishes that include “buffalo wings”, veganesa and a delectable vegan burger. 

The Tipsy Lion team have already begun curating a programme of weekly events including ‘The Great British Brunch’; a rock ‘n’ rolling brunch that takes place every Friday from 1pm to 5pm with live music, a DJ, pub games and entertainment. AED 279 (soft beverages), AED 349 (house beverages) and AED 399 (sparkling).

Saturdays are made for relaxing over a hearty roast. The Tipsy Lion’s Saturday Roast menu consists of either a regular roast or vegan roast for AED 99 (soft beverages) and AED 149 (inclusive of three house beverages). Fancy making it a long lunch? Enjoy bottomless Bloody Mary’s or Mimosas for an additional AED 120. 

Ladies will be spoilt every Monday night between 5pm – 2am at the ‘Lioness Ladies Night’, where for AED 99 they can enjoy one main course and three cocktails, followed by AED 15 selected drinks all night. 

There is also a happy hour every day from 5pm to 8pm, with costs slashed on selected spirits, hops, grape and cocktails.
