Taste of Dubai returns to the UAE this weekend

The three-day food festival brings together chefs, restaurants and masterclasses.

On your marks, get set, eat. Taste Festivals has announced that Taste of Dubai is back, and taking place at Skydive Dubai from 23 to 25 February 2023. The culinary extravaganza will include chefs, restaurants, masterclasses, live music and entertainment.

MENA Live Events, the new organiser, is behind the gastronomic festival, which is expected to attract up to 25,000 people. Make a day out of it and bring along your friends and families, as you’ll have a chance to indulge in one-off food experiences.

Taste of Dubai

Taste of Dubai brings together 16 of the best restaurants in the region, plus established as well as emerging chefs. Eat your way around the festival, as each restaurant will offer three to five sample-sized dishes, including at least one vegetarian option and one child-friendly dish. Plus, there’s the Taste VIP Lounge for exclusive experiences and Kids Village for the little ones.

Participating restaurants include Akira Back, Atrangi by Ritu Dalmia, Bushra by Buddha-Bar, Hutong, Indya by Vineet, Maya by Chef Richard Sandoval, Rhodes W1, Sumosan, Tàn Chá, Torno Subito, the soon-to-open Osteria Funkcoolio, and the FACT Award winning City Social and Jun’s.

Visitors are invited to cook up a storm, as there are interactive experiences aplenty. Masterclasses cover pasta, coffee, mixology and the first barbeque school, and workshops cover food styling and photography.

If you want to recreate the spirit of the festival, there are artisan and local producers selling food, drink and lifestyle items. Plus, there’ll be live entertainment, from chilled-out acoustic shows to lively DJ sets.

It wouldn’t be Taste of Dubai without celebrity chefs, and this year’s lineup features Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris, Matt Preston, Ritu Dalmia, Jenny Morris and friends of FACT, Hattem Mattar and Kelvin Cheung.

Anju Chadda, event director and co-founder of MENA Live Events, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing back Taste of Dubai for the second year under MENA Live Events. Building on the success of our first edition of Taste of Dubai in 2023, we’ve worked meticulously to bring the brand to new heights, including a brand-new venue allowing for more restaurants, activations, exhibitors and more”
