Catch Harry Judd in High School Musical at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.
Sing and dance your way to the theatre. McFly’s Harry Judd will star in High School Musical. Running from 12 October 2026 to 3 January 2027 at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, it sees Harry take on the role of Coach Bolton.
High School Musical will run at The Lowry in Salford from 22 August to 19 September, before moving to Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre in the autumn. Harry will step into the role of Coach Bolton for the London run, taking over from Jason Donovan, who will appear in the Salford production. The cast also includes KayCee Stroh as Ms Darbus, Tobias Turley as Troy, Leonor Correia as Gabriella, Caitlin Tipping as Sharpay, and Luke Bayer as Ryan.
Sharing his excitement, Harry said, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining this incredible new production of High School Musical. It’s such an iconic film that meant so much to me growing up, and now getting to share that same excitement with my own family makes this even more special. As a dad, it’s been amazing to revisit this story through my children’s eyes and see just how timeless it really is — the music, the energy, the message about believing in yourself — it all still resonates so strongly across generations.”
High School Musical became a defining pop culture phenomenon when it premiered on Disney Channel in 2006. Starring Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale, the film followed students at East High as they balanced friendship, romance, ambition and the pressure to fit in. Its catchy songs helped turn the movie into a global franchise, spawning sequels, stage adaptations, tours and a new generation of Disney stars.
Marking the 20th anniversary of the original film, the new production at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre brings the beloved songs to life. The songs include “Breaking Free”, “Get’cha Head in the Game”, “Stick to the Status Quo”, and “We’re All In This Together”.
