The bestselling novel One Day is making its way to the London stage.

Grab the tissues. One Day The Musical is landing in London. The bestselling novel, which turned into a film and TV series, is making its way to the West End. Running from 17 November 2026 to 14 March 2027 at the Garrick Theatre, it tells the story of Emma and Dexter.

On the night of their graduation, Emma and Dexter’s lives collide in a moment that will shape their futures forever. But where will they be this time next year, the year after that, and every year that follows? The play answers that questions, and pulls at our heartstrings.

The show stars Jamie Muscato and Sharon Rose, and is directed by Max Webster. As the pair journey through life, their paths weave together through laughter and tears, dreams and disappointments, missed chances and unexpected reunions. Along the way, they discover the power of friendship, ambition and the magic of love.

Simon Friend and Hanna Osmolska, for producers Melting Pot, said: “From the moment we encountered One Day, we recognised its extraordinary emotional power. This is a story for anyone who has been in love, for anyone whose life hasn’t gone to plan, for anyone whose life has, for anyone who has had a parent, or a child, or a friend – so everyone really – which is why is has resonated with millions of people around the world.

“With a remarkable creative team, a score that takes us on the emotional rollercoaster of Emma and Dexter’s journey, and the world-class talents of Jamie Muscato and Sharon Rose originating the lead roles, One Day: The Musical promises to be a very special show indeed. We cannot wait to bring this story to life on the West End stage.”
