The capital’s comedy calendar just got considerably more interesting. Aziz Ansari and Romesh Ranganathan are teaming up for a secret comedy pop-up in London, bringing two very different styles of stand-up together for what should be one of the most sought-after tickets of the summer.

Taking place on Monday, 31 August 2026, details surrounding the Aziz Ansari and Romesh Ranganathan London pop-up are being deliberately kept under wraps. The venue has not been revealed, timings remain secret, and capacity is extremely limited.

Fans can currently register their interest for the chance to book tickets. However, signing up does not guarantee access, and those who are successful will receive the final location and timings directly. In other words, this is shaping up to be a suitably spontaneous addition to London’s comedy scene.

The collaboration brings together two comedians with impressive careers spanning stand-up, television and film.

American comedian, actor, writer and filmmaker Aziz Ansari became a household name as the ambitious and endlessly entertaining Tom Haverford in Parks and Recreation. He later created and starred in Netflix’s Master of None, earning critical acclaim and multiple awards for the comedy-drama. Ansari won two Primetime Emmy Awards for writing the series and became the first Asian American actor to win a Golden Globe for television acting.

Stand-up has remained central to Ansari’s career. His comedy specials have explored everything from dating and relationships to technology, family life and modern culture, while his live shows have taken him to major venues around the world.

Romesh Ranganathan, meanwhile, has become one of Britain’s most recognisable comedians and television personalities. Known for his deadpan delivery, dry observations and self-deprecating humour, the Crawley-born comedian has moved seamlessly between stand-up, panel shows, presenting and travel television.

His credits include The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan, The Ranganation and Judge Romesh. He has also been a regular face on A League of Their Own and became host of the revived The Weakest Link in 2021.

Ranganathan’s television work has earned him considerable recognition. The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Features in 2020, followed by a Best Entertainment Performance win for The Ranganation in 2021.

Putting Aziz Ansari and Romesh Ranganathan together in an intimate London setting makes this pop-up particularly intriguing. And with capacity described as extremely limited, comedy fans will want to register quickly.
