The Portuguese restaurant will open its third London location at the former 10 Greek Street site.
Portuguese food is taking centre stage in Soho. Bar Douro will open its third London restaurant at 10 Greek Street in October 2026, bringing its signature petiscos, characterful wines and regional storytelling to one of the neighbourhood’s best-known dining addresses.
The opening follows the closure of 10 Greek Street, which will serve its final guests on Saturday, 8 August 2026. Founded by Cameron Emirali and Luke Wilson in 2012, the much-loved restaurant became known for its daily changing menu, convivial atmosphere and Little Black Book of rare wines. Its departure marks the end of a significant chapter for Soho, but the arrival of Bar Douro ensures the address will retain its strong connection to food and wine.
The move also brings Bar Douro founder Max Graham’s journey full circle. Graham spent part of his childhood in Portugal, where his family has produced wine in the Douro Valley for generations. Before opening the first Bar Douro beneath a railway arch near London Bridge in 2016, he operated Churchill’s Port House as an eight-month pop-up on Greek Street. Bar Douro City followed near Liverpool Street in January 2020.
While Bar Douro Soho will continue the group’s celebration of Portuguese producers, the new restaurant will introduce several dishes created exclusively for the neighbourhood. The headline addition will be vaca velha ribeye made using Maronesa beef from Carnes Irmãos Unidos.
Maronesa is a historic Portuguese cattle breed raised in the mountainous Trás-os-Montes region of northern Portugal. The mature cattle are reared slowly across rugged terrain, producing beef with a deep flavour and distinctive structure. Bar Douro founder Max Graham and Executive Chef Neuza Leal visited Carnes Irmãos Unidos during a research trip to the region, where they met the family behind the producer and explored its approach to preserving native breeds.
London diners were given an initial taste of the beef during Bar Douro’s one-night Maronesa supper club in July 2026. The Soho opening will now give the ingredient a more permanent place on the menu, with the vaca velha ribeye showcasing meat sourced from carefully aged cattle.
Further Soho-exclusive dishes remain under wraps. However, diners can look forward to Bar Douro’s familiar approach to Portuguese cooking, alongside a wine list spanning the Douro Valley, Alentejo, Lisbon, Madeira and lesser-known regions across the country.
