Nick Jones, the man behind Soho House, has created stylish spaces, great food and creative communities around the world. Now, his new hotel project, St. Clement Hotel, will be home to the cool rooftop venue Lunette. Scheduled to open in September, here’s what to expect.
Chef Florence Knight is no stranger to the London dining scene. She previously worked at Sessions Arts Club in Clerkenwell and is now bringing her expertise to St. Clement Hotel. Her return to the capital has been met with excitement, and she will be opening Lunette inside the hotel.
The full menu for Lunette has not yet been unveiled. So far, we know that there will be a set menu, with four courses at lunchtime and eight courses at dinner. Dishes will include pomme soufflé filled with smoked eel and topped with nasturtium; a milk custard with Cévennes onion sauce, caviar and baked petals; and pork loin served with fresh fig, anchovy Cinsaut sauce, mustard fig and creamed Coco Bianco beans.
St. Clement Hotel is the first hotel project from Nick’s new company, Jones & Co (Hotels, Restaurants and Residences), outside the Soho House brand. Set on Arundel Street, just moments from Temple Station and Somerset House, the hotel includes 90 rooms, 15 loft-style apartments, a gym and a spectacular rooftop restaurant. Guests can also look forward to bespoke bath products created by renowned English perfumer Lyn Harris.
The other food and beverage options in the hotel include Café Clement, an all-day, brasserie-style dining experience, complete with a terrace and garden. The kitchen is led by chef Danny Bohan, who previously worked at the River Café. Dishes include comté and ricotta ravioli and slow-cooked veal ragù tagliarini. Plus, when the sun goes down, Bobbi’s Bar will take centre stage, keeping the good times going until 3am.
