Cirque du Soleil is heading back to London, and one of its most celebrated productions is coming along for the ride. KURIOS: Cabinet of Curiosities will return to the Royal Albert Hall for a limited seven-week season from 13 January to 28 February 2027.
The return marks 30 years of Cirque du Soleil performances at the famous London venue. The Canadian entertainment company first performed at the Royal Albert Hall in 1996 and has since become a regular fixture on the capital’s cultural calendar. KURIOS previously arrived at the venue in 2023, becoming the most successful Cirque du Soleil production ever presented there.
Created and directed by Michel Laprise, KURIOS: Cabinet of Curiosities transports audiences into a retro-futuristic world inspired by the Victorian era and the Industrial Revolution. At its centre is the Seeker, an eccentric inventor who believes an invisible universe exists beyond the limits of everyday life. When he manages to open the door to this hidden realm, his mechanical laboratory is overrun by a cast of curious characters and strange creations.
From there, the production combines Cirque du Soleil’s signature acrobatics with contortion, aerial performances, comedy and theatrical storytelling. Mechanical contraptions, elaborate costumes and a strong steampunk aesthetic help create a world where the laws of time, space and gravity appear to have been rewritten.
KURIOS first premiered in Montreal in 2014 and has since become one of Cirque du Soleil’s most successful touring productions. The show has been seen by more than seven million people across 50 cities, with more than 3,500 performances staged around the world by a cast of 50 artists.
Its London comeback will also mark the final stop on the production’s current European tour. Unlike previous Cirque du Soleil residencies at the Royal Albert Hall, the 2027 season is strictly limited and non-extendable, making this the only window to catch the show during its latest London visit.
