Paul McCartney Shares His Stories at The Roundhouse in London.
It’s not often you get to see a Beatle in person. Paul McCartney has announced a special evening at the Roundhouse in London on 10 June. To celebrate the new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, the evening features Paul sharing his creative journey in a rare talk.
Paul is one of the most influential musicians of all time. He is best known as a member of The Beatles, where he co-wrote and performed on many of the band’s most iconic songs alongside John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Born in Liverpool, he later formed the band Wings and went on to have a successful solo career. His catalogue includes classics such as “Hey Jude”, “Let It Be” and “Live and Let Die”.
Audiences can look forward to hearing personal stories, creative insights and the new music itself, woven together by Paul’s reflections on one of his most intimate and celebrated projects. He will share his first meeting with producer Andrew Watt in 2021, as well as his songwriting, recording sessions, artwork development, and the album’s recent release. Offering a rare glimpse into his creative process, the evening will also explore the inspiration behind the songs and his first-ever recording duet with Ringo Starr.
The Boys of Dungeon Lane has received critical acclaim and an enthusiastic response from fans around the world. Ahead of its release, Paul hosted exclusive listening events in both London and Los Angeles, giving audiences an early opportunity to experience the record. This marks Paul’s first solo album in more than five years, and is a personal collection of stories, memories and newly inspired love songs.
Looking back on the moments that shaped his life and career, The Boys of Dungeon Lane revisits his childhood in post-war Liverpool. Plus, it explores the strength of his family and his early adventures alongside George Harrison and John Lennon before Beatlemania changed music forever.
