London’s fashion scene is stepping into the new season in style. Fendi is heading to Harrods for a major September takeover, complete with two pop-up boutiques, elaborate window displays and live demonstrations celebrating the craftsmanship behind some of the Italian house’s most recognisable accessories.

According to WWD, the Fendi at Harrods takeover will run from 4 to 26 September 2026. The activation will occupy two ground-floor spaces inside the Knightsbridge department store, while the fashion house will also transform all 24 windows overlooking Brompton Road.

The Fendi pop-ups will showcase pieces from the Fall/Winter 2026-27 collection, the first collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri since taking the creative reins at the Roman fashion house.

The visual concept will draw inspiration from Rome, referencing the colours, architecture and artistic character of Fendi’s home city. Outside, the window installations will pay tribute to Chiuri’s debut collection, which was unveiled during Milan Fashion Week in February 2026.

Inside, the first boutique will focus on the Fall 2026 collection, with a selection spanning women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories. The takeover will also give shoppers access to exclusive launches, with Harrods serving as the launch partner for new versions of two Fendi icons.

Among them are the My Peekaboo and Baguette 26424 Re-edition bags created using the house’s Selleria hand-stitching techniques. The Baguette 26424 takes its name from the original reference number of the handbag first introduced in 1997, reconnecting the new collection with one of Fendi’s best-known designs.

The second pop-up puts the spotlight firmly on the Baguette, displaying more than 20 versions of the Baguette 26424 Re-edition across different colours, materials and finishes.

There is more to the takeover than shopping. Throughout the three-week activation, visitors will be able to watch daily demonstrations highlighting the skills behind the bags. According to WWD, these include presentations on the needlework techniques used by Mumbai-based Chanakya, which has collaborated on Baguette designs since 1997, alongside demonstrations of Peekaboo Selleria hand-stitching by craftspeople from Fendi’s leather goods atelier in Capannuccia, Florence.
