London is set to welcome a new rooftop bar and restaurant, Arcus. Located on the 10th floor of The Imperial, Arcus is a 324-seat space and is inspired by an unexpected source: the weather. A place where skies, light and skyline moods shape each visit, it brings a sense of playful wonder to Bloomsbury.

Spanning 327 square metres, Arcus boasts near 360-degree views across London, from St Paul’s Cathedral to the London Eye. Guests can choose from high tables and cosy corners overlooking Russell Square. It serves everything from brunch to seasonal small plates and cocktails at sunset. Plus, there is live music, DJ sets and even wellness moments, from morning sound baths to sun salutations.

Affectionately known as Bloomsbury’s Beacon, Arcus in London celebrates the neighbourhood’s rich heritage and is the first tooftop testaurant and bar in the area. Bloomsbury is also home to UCL and the British Museum, and was previously popular with writers and thinkers in the Bloomsbury Set. Writers who called the area home include Virginia Woolf, Charles Dickens and Charles Darwin. Plus, it played a key role in the suffragette movement and George Orwell’s book 1984 Senate House was the inspiration for the story’s Ministry of Truth.

If you want to make a day and night of it, check out and check into The Imperial. The restored building is home to 357 rooms, which have been carefully curated and shaped by the history of the location. The hotel is also home to the Edit Bar and Lounge, The Bell Room and Terrace, and Studio and Wellness Terrace.
