Black Axe Mangal fans can book a two-night comeback dinner.
Black Axe Mangal fans, we have some tasty news for you. While the restaurant is now closed, it will return – for two nights only – as part of a cool collaboration. Black Axe Mangal will take over Dusty Knuckle. Located in Highbury, it will run on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 May 2026, and tickets are available now.
Lee and Kate Tiernan, who were behind Black Axe Mangal, have cooked up something special. The pair have said: “This is going to be loud, messy, emotional and absolutely delicious”. This event is part of Dusty Knuckle’s Dusty Dinners series, which brings together some of East London’s most exciting chefs.
The event will take place outdoors on the al fresco decking, with tickets priced at £60. There are two sittings each evening: one at 6pm and another at 8.30pm. So, get ready for a two-night feast and the team’s dishes in a new setting.
Black Axe Mangal was famed for its Turkish grill-inspired menu and nose-to-tail dishes. The menu will include Grilled Chicken Coconut Laksa, Pickled Cucumbers with Dusty Knuckle Linseed Baguette, Smoked Cod’s Roe with Nori, and rice and herbs. Dessert includes Panna Cotta with Pink Lemonade Jelly and Yuzu Granita. Plus, vegetarian options will be available.

If you can’t wait, then head over to Dusty Knuckle. The team have venues in Dalston and Harringay. The Dalston location is a bakery, café and school. By day, the Harringay location is a café, and by night it turns into a pizzeria and wine bar.
Book in advance, as we expect this to be popular.
