The Magnolia Bakery pop-up draws inspiration from the Chelsea Flower Show.

London is about to get a little bit sweeter. Magnolia Bakery is heading from New York to London. Running from 19 May to 10 June 2026, the pop-up will open at Cafe Ciel in the Grand Courtyard of The OWO, which is also home to Raffles London at The OWO.

For anyone who has been dreaming of trying Magnolia Bakery’s desserts, you’re in luck. The Magnolia Bakery pop-up in London arrives just in time for the Chelsea Flower Show. The courtyard will burst into bloom and feature a floral installation inspired by the famous garden festival.

In 1996, Magnolia Bakery opened in the West Village and was founded by Jennifer Appel and Allysa Torey. The bakery became famous for its classic American baked goods and for helping to start the cupcake craze. It also featured in the TV show Sex and the City, and became a must-visit spot for fans of the series. For now, however, the cupcakes will not be available in London.

At the heart of the Magnolia Bakery pop-up is an outdoor kiosk serving a special takeaway menu. The star of the show is the Classic Banana Pudding, featuring layers of silky vanilla pudding, fresh bananas and vanilla wafers. Plus, there will also be a British-inspired twist in the form of Sticky Toffee Pudding. Drinks range from an Iced Matcha Banana Pudding made with iced matcha and topped with a scoop of the famous pudding, to an Iced Coffee finished with a heaped serving of banana pudding.

Inside Café Ciel, guests can enjoy a limited-edition brunch menu inspired by Magnolia Bakery’s New York roots. Dishes include Banoffee French Toast with caramelised bananas, rich toffee and whipped cream, Cinnamon Swirl American Pancakes, and Banana Pudding Affogato, blending espresso, ice cream and Magnolia Bakery’s signature banana pudding.

    Happy eating.
