The brand prides itself on sustainability.
London’s Grind is causing a stir. The speciality coffee roaster and café chain has announced that it aims to expand to the Middle East. The brand is working with the UAE-based Gulf Franchise Group and looks to bring its signature coffee and cocktail (or mocktail) concept overseas.
The locations for the new cafés have not yet been confirmed. Gulf Franchise Group, however, works across GCC countries including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.
In 2011, Grind launched in Shoreditch, London. The brand prides itself on creating sustainable coffee, and creates home-compostable coffee pods. Today, it operates 11 branches and three coffee carts in London, which spans coffee, cocktails and all-day dining. In 2022 Grind opened its first international coffee shop, and it was located in Los Angeles, United States. Plus, it sells all the essential coffee accessories.
When the brand expands to the Middle East, it will join a long list of London brands that have made the move. Camden-born Black Sheep Coffee recently announced that it will be launching coffee shops in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
