Chef Victor Garvey brings SOLA to West London.

Chef Victor Garvey has impressed London and FACT with his culinary flair. Following the opening of Mater1a in Westbourne Grove, he is now opening SOLA in the same part of London town. Scheduled to open on 17 June 2026, the new opening will draw from the previous Michelin-starred restaurant.

Chef Victor appears to be making West London his home. Since launching in Soho back in 2019, SOLA has built a loyal following and earned critical acclaim — and now the restaurant is set to begin a new era, located next door to Mater1a.

The move also marks an intimate direction for the restaurant. While SOLA has always offered an exclusive dining experience, the new space will welcome just 12 guests at a time and focus on the chef’s counter experience. The full menu has not yet been unveiled, but we do know that the wine offering will be expansive and is expected to be almost double the size of the Soho original.

Victor explained, “I have loved every minute of being in Soho. We have spent the last two months building a beautiful chef’s counter restaurant where a maximum of 12 diners can eat at a time – this allows us to really stretch our culinary legs and push the boat out creatively.”

If you can’t wait, then check out Mater1a, which draws inspiration from Japan. The offering includes a tasting menu showcasing a range of dishes. The lunch Reduced Menu starts from £99, while the Standard Tasting Menu starts from £169. For dinner, the Standard Tasting Menu starts at £169, and the Carte Blanche Menu starts at £214.
