Gather from day to night for coffee, drinks and food.
The Australian-inspired café brings a new energy to Southwest London.
A new café, sandwich shop, and wine bar, Stubby’s, has opened in Parsons Green. The Australian-influenced spot is from the team behind These Days Bar & Kitchen in Bermondsey, and brings coffee, sandwiches, deli staples, and stubbies (that’s beer to Australians) to the local area.
Founded by childhood friends and southwest London locals Oli Man and Greg Weaver, Stubby’s is the perfect addition to Parsons Green Lane. The pair have spent the past decade learning the tricks of the hospitality trade, and have now created their very own venture.
Stubby’s brings a space for customers to gather from day to night, from coffee to drinks, open seven days a week. The concept honours memories of the duo’s time in Australia, where laid-back, all-day hospitality is the ethos.
Great coffee is the focus of Stubby’s, and it has been made in partnership with Allpress Espresso. Alongside the usual flat whites, cortados and lattes, the menu will feature specials such as: iced maple sea salt matcha, coconut water and lemon drizzle cold foam (a FACT favourite, which we tried at the launch party), cold brew and maple sea salt fold foam and iced matcha with strawberry jam. The drinks menu includes favourites from Australia as well as a full cocktail menu. Wines feature Amie’s Organic Rose, Sparkling Cremant, En Cabeza Rosé and La Patagua from Chile.
Sandwiches are the brainchild of Head Chef Weaver’s obsession with great subs. Flavours include: Mutton Adobo, Potato Scraggle, Pickled Kohlrabi, Koji Chicken Thigh, Chilli Crisp, Salsa Verde, Iceberg, Parm, Tempura Aubergine, Black Caramel, Sugarsnaps, Sage, Goat’s Cheese and more.
Oli and Greg said: “After 25 years of friendship and a decade working together, launching Stubby’s in Parsons Green feels like coming home for us. Inspired by the warm, relaxed hospitality culture we experienced in Sydney, we wanted to create a neighbourhood spot built around great coffee, quality food, good drinks, and a space that’s made for connection”
Where: 28 Parsons Green Lane, London SW6 4HS.
