The Food Power Tasting Showcase 2026 is taking over the Food Exchange at New Covent Garden Market in London. Taking place from 4pm to 7pm on 23 May, the event is a chance to discover some of the city’s most exciting refugee-led food businesses – all in one place.

The showcase will feature 12 stalls, each run by entrepreneurs from TERN’s food business incubation programme. Expect a globe-spanning line-up of dishes, from Ukrainian dumplings to Syrian parathas. TERN, which stands for The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network, is a non-profit organisation helping refugees build and grow their own businesses across the country.

Make sure you come hungry. Among the 12 brilliant food businesses taking part in the event, sponsored by Square, are Varenik & Pelmen from Ukraine, serving Ukrainian dumplings, Hand Rolled Dolma Co from Iraq, with dolma, Kefir Scones from Ukraine, bringing freshly baked scones, and Kebabko from Palestine, serving loaded shawarma fries.

Visitors can also check out Street Lavash from Ukraine with classic hot dogs, La Familia from Nicaragua offering milk jam, Vadym from Ukraine with beef jerky, and Ruth’s African Kitchen from Nigeria serving yams and braised beef. Plus, there is The Paratha Club from Syria with Gulf paratha, chips and hot sauce, Health Cultivated from Ukraine showcasing yoghurt starter, Karaz from Syria serving Kabab Karaz, and Ruby Kitchen from Türkiye bringing Antalya piyazi.

Tickets for The Food Power Tasting Showcase start from £22 and include four tasting tokens and a drink. Check in with FACT for the best things to do in London.
