The collaboration will see a remake of Reebok’s classic court shoe.
Sportswear brand Reebok is collaborating with cult London publisher Idea for an innovative take on Reebok’s court shoe model Club C 85. The new glow-in-the-dark design channels Idea’s love of everyday collectibles.
Titled Reebok x Idea Club C 85, the new project sees an Idea-designed upper in suede and canvas, glow-in-the-dark details, custom tongue labels, heel branding, terry lining, a bespoke footbed, tonal laces with an extra lace option and custom packaging.
Idea co-founder David Owen, said: “Because we approached this collaboration as an homage, we looked for the most perfect shoe and found it in the Club C. Some designs never need replacing, rebooting or reinventing. At Idea, we’re drawn to the details that make something feel timeless, while finding subtle ways to make it relevant today. The glow-in-the-dark elements add a hidden element to the shoe, revealing itself in unexpected moments, much like the references and details we’re always exploring.”
Jacob Sheppard, a designer at Idea, created this collaboration with personal memory and 1990s sports culture at the centre. Themes include: seeing Reebok pumps for the first time on his neighbour; the Workouts from the first Palace collaboration; Shaquille O’Neal’s Shaqnosis basketball shoe in the movie ‘Kazaam’, and Ryan Giggs in his Reebok turtleneck.
Founded in 2011, Idea has built a loyal fanbase by transforming previously overlooked vintage books, sports memorabilia and advertising into collectible-worthy items.
The Reebok x Idea Club C 85 sneaker is now available for purchase on the website. It will also be released at Dover Street Market stores from 6 August before a global release on 13 August 2026.
