The unlikely London partnership will transform one of the capital’s most famous landmarks with a series of contemporary music events.
London knows how to create unexpected cultural collaborations, but this one might be among its most surprising. St Paul’s Cathedral and Fabric are joining forces for a new four-year partnership that will see contemporary music take over one of the capital’s most recognisable landmarks.
The collaboration will run from 2026 until 2030, with Fabric becoming St Paul’s Cathedral’s exclusive partner for contemporary music events. The first concert will take place on Thursday, 29 October 2026, although the artist and full event details remain under wraps.
The partnership connects two London institutions from very different worlds. St Paul’s Cathedral has dominated the City of London skyline for centuries and remains one of the capital’s most significant religious and architectural landmarks. Fabric, meanwhile, has played an influential role in London nightlife since opening in Farringdon in 1999, building an international reputation for electronic music, underground club culture and forward-thinking programming.
Despite the contrast, this is not the first time the two have worked together. Fabric staged its first event at St Paul’s in 2024 with Australian singer, songwriter and producer RY X. The club returned in 2025 for an intimate performance from Patti Smith, placing the artist beneath the Cathedral’s famous dome.
Those events have now developed into a long-term partnership. Over the next four years, the programme will feature artists from different musical backgrounds and disciplines, with performances designed to make use of St Paul’s distinctive architecture, acoustics and atmosphere.
Fabric has also taken its programming beyond the traditional nightclub environment before. Previous projects have seen the London institution stage events at locations including the British Museum, London Coliseum and The View from The Shard, showing its appetite for placing contemporary music within unexpected settings.
Early access registration for the first event on 29 October 2026 is now open.
