The Greatest Showman will open at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in spring 2027.
The musical includes ‘This Is Me’, ‘Rewrite the Stars’, ‘Never Enough’ and new songs.

Following a sold-out run in Bristol, Disney’s stage adaptation of the hit movie musical will take over Theatre Royal Drury Lane in spring 2027.
Ladies and gents, this is the moment you’ve waited for. The Greatest Showman is officially heading to London, with Disney Theatrical Group confirming that its new stage musical will open at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in spring 2027. The transfer follows the production’s sold-out world premiere at Bristol Hippodrome earlier this year.
Based on the blockbuster 2017 film starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendaya, Michelle Williams and Rebecca Ferguson, The Greatest Showman offers a heavily fictionalised take on the story of showman P.T. Barnum. The movie became a global phenomenon, helped in no small part by a soundtrack packed with singalong numbers. Now, those songs are moving to one of the West End’s biggest stages.
Leading the London cast will be Oliver Tompsett as P.T. Barnum, with Samantha Barks playing Charity Barnum. Ben Joyce will appear as Phillip Carlyle, Vajèn van den Bosch takes on the role of Jenny Lind and Malinda Parris stars as Lettie Lutz, better known as the Bearded Lady. All five performers appeared in the Bristol production, while additional casting will be revealed at a later date.
Music remains at the heart of the production. EGOT-winning songwriting duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul return with the film’s best-known songs, including “The Greatest Show”, “A Million Dreams”, “Come Alive”, “Rewrite the Stars”, “Never Enough” and “This Is Me”. New songs have also been written specifically for the stage adaptation, while two-time Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw serves as director and choreographer.

The piece is fearless in its emotion: open-hearted, exuberant, and unapologetically joyous, celebrating those considered outsiders and dreamers. While its storytelling draws on classic traditions, its score is unmistakably of today – bold, infectious songs that feel they were always destined for the stage.”
Theatre Royal Drury Lane provides a suitably grand setting. Located in Covent Garden, the historic venue has a long relationship with Disney productions and most recently hosted Frozen and Hercules. The stage version of The Greatest Showman will incorporate circus elements alongside musical theatre, with Lorenzo Pisoni responsible for circus creation and design, Jeremy Chernick handling special effects and Skylar Fox overseeing illusions.
Disney has yet to announce the complete performance schedule or general ticket on-sale dates for The Greatest Showman in London.
