Get ready for an adventure. The closest the average person might get to space is at Smithsonian Starstruck: An Immersive Experience in the Science Museum. Launching on 26 June, the free-roaming virtual reality adventure invites visitors to journey to the corners of the universe.

Smithsonian Starstruck: An Immersive Experience in the Science Museum is about to bring you closer to the cosmos than ever before – and no rocket launch is required. The 40-minute experience takes you on one giant leap. Developed in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution and the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, the experience combines cutting-edge technology with real scientific research.

Every stunning scene has been inspired by genuine astronomical data, allowing visitors to explore the cosmos in remarkable detail. The adventure begins with a tour of some of Earth’s most important observatories, then takes visitors on a journey beyond our planet. Along the way, you’ll travel to the Hubble Space Telescope, witness the dramatic birth and death of stars, explore distant galaxies and even come face-to-face with a black hole.

Designed to inspire curiosity and wonder, Smithsonian Starstruck: An Immersive Experience in the Science Museum blends science, storytelling and scenery. Whether you’re a lifelong space enthusiast or simply looking for an unforgettable day out, this offers a fun-filled family experience.

Tickets will go on sale on 9 June, and the prices have not yet been confirmed. The experience is suitable for people aged 10 years old and above.
