HYPER JAPAN is heading to Olympia in London, and celebrates Japanese culture. Running from 24 to 26 July 2026, it will showcase the best in arts, anime, fashion and food.
Since 1987, Cross Media has championed Japanese culture on the international stage, helping connect global audiences with Japan’s creativity and innovation. This partnership has expanded Cross Media’s reach across the United Kingdom and Europe.
Launched in 2010, HYPER JAPAN has grown into the UK’s largest celebration of Japanese culture. The event showcases the diversity of modern Japan, covering manga, anime, gaming, fashion, food, music, technology, tourism and traditional culture all under one roof. Alongside major exhibitors and Japanese local authorities, visitors can enjoy live performances, workshops, talks, demonstrations and interactive experiences throughout the festival.
Held over three days, the event attracts around 30,000 visitors, with the overwhelming majority coming from outside the Japanese community. In 2021, HYPER JAPAN expanded with its first online event, and connecting around 200,000 people from 139 countries. Plus, HYPER JAPAN ONLINE hosted 82 events and achieved more than 2.2 million impressions worldwide.
Popular Japanese artists will be taking to the stage. The acts include QUEEN BEE, avantgardey, The Sixth Lie, Chiaki Kobayashi, Eir Aoi, and UPIKO. Workshops taking place include Shorinji Kempo to Sumi painting. Plus, you can dig into dishes including nigiri, donburi, bao, mochi, and sake.
