The chef’s first London restaurant is entering a new chapter with an intimate dining room, Georgie’s Bar and a revamped modern British menu.

London’s restaurant scene rarely stands still, and Tom Kerridge is giving one of his best-known addresses a major refresh. The Michelin-starred chef is transforming Kerridge’s Bar & Grill at Corinthia London, splitting the original restaurant into two distinct concepts: the reimagined Kerridge’s and the all-new Georgie’s Bar. Both will open to the public on Saturday, 5 September 2026.

Kerridge’s Bar & Grill made its debut at Corinthia London in 2018, marking Kerridge’s first restaurant in the capital. Eight years later, the 90-cover venue is being reworked into a more intimate 57-seat restaurant, with a larger bar occupying a greater share of the original space.

Now known simply as Kerridge’s, the restaurant will sit behind a velvet partition and feature burgundy leather, dark timber and marble-topped tables. Head Chef Tom Childs will continue to oversee the kitchen, serving a modern British menu built around seasonal ingredients, traditional techniques and bold flavours.

New dishes include crab crumpet with isot biber chilli, shrimp mayonnaise and fennel salad, alongside an Orkney scallop pie with prawn, nduja and crab sauce. Diners can also tuck into whole Cornish lobster Thermidor with fine herbs and sauce américaine. The Chef’s Larder remains part of the experience, allowing guests to select premium cuts of meat before they are prepared in the kitchen.

There will be room for familiar favourites too, including the Gary Rhodes bread and butter pudding, a dish with particular significance for Childs after an early work experience placement with the late British chef helped inspire his culinary career. Sunday lunch and private dining will also continue as part of Kerridge’s offering.

The biggest change, however, comes with the arrival of Georgie’s Bar. Named after Kerridge’s boxer dog, the new concept has been designed as a destination in its own right. The canine connection runs deep. Georgie famously left a paw print in wet concrete while the kitchen floor was being laid at Kerridge’s two Michelin-starred The Hand & Flowers in Marlow.

The expanded bar combines navy and warm gold tones with antique brass, banquettes and intimate tables. It will also be home to Steve, a full-size bronze sculpture by Kerridge’s wife, artist Beth Cullen-Kerridge.

Food is geared towards drinking and sharing, with pork scratchings, beef jerky and buttermilk fried chicken among the snacks. More substantial dishes include a cheeseburger topped with BBQ brisket, pink shellfish brioche rolls with Bloody Marie-rose sauce and haddock fritters with Matson sauce.

Cocktails will also play a central role. Georgie’s Martini Club features four freezer-cold Martinis named Dry, Wet, Dirty and Steak. The latter is a spin on the Gibson, finished with a house-smoked pickled onion. Classics including the French 75, Negroni, Old Fashioned and Hemingway Daiquiri will round out the drinks list.
