Eurostar has announced a new route, and it’s heading from London to Antwerp. Launching on 14 December 2026, the direct service runs from London St Pancras to Antwerp, and makes it easier than ever to visit the Belgian city.
The route will only be direct on the outward leg from London. There are currently no plans to introduce a direct return service from Antwerp to London, as this would require dedicated UK border and customs facilities at Antwerp-Centraal.
The new stop will be added to Eurostar’s existing London to Amsterdam route, with trains calling at Lille-Europe, Brussels-Midi, Rotterdam Centraal and Antwerpen-Centraal. Up to four direct services will run each day, giving passengers even more choice when planning a European city break. At the moment, the London to Antwerp route on the Eurostar takes around three hours and 15 minutes, and passengers have to change in Brussels. Thanks to the new direct service, the journey will be cut to around two hours and 45 minutes.
In the future, Eurostar is also planning new routes in Germany and Switzerland, which will make travel more seamless across Europe. That means Londoners could soon find themselves gliding from St Pancras International to Frankfurt or Geneva in just over five hours – and with no airports, no baggage queues, and no turbulence. These new services are part of a bold €2 billion investment, which also includes the addition of up to 50 new trains to Eurostar’s growing fleet.
