Where to watch Eid fireworks in Saudi Arabia

Celebrate Eid with a bang across 13 cities in the kingdom.

Have a blast this Eid Al Fitr and watch fireworks shows across Saudi Arabia. As Ramadan comes to an end, there will be dazzling displays across the country. So, if you want to celebrate with a bang, here’s what you need to know. 

In Saudi Arabia, Eid Al Fitr is expected to fall on 21 April but the final date has yet to be confirmed. The displays will take place in 13 cities including Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar. Plus, Abha, Arar, Bahah, Hail, Jazan, Madinah, Qassim, Sakaka and Tabuk.

Across Saudi Arabia, the fireworks shows take place from 9pm and last for five minutes. So, make sure you get there early to secure a spot, and capture those Insta-worthy views. In Jeddah, the Eid firework display takes place in Jeddah Art Promenade. In Riyadh, the Eid firework display takes place in Boulevard Riyadh City, and visitors can enter the zone for free. 

The General Entertainment Authority also unveiled Eid Season 2023, which draws inspiration from the kingdom’s rich culture. The festival includes exciting events and brings together authenticity, beauty, connections, celebration, happiness and love. Above all, it aims to create a family-friendly, joyful experience. 

Eid Al Fitr literally translates to the festival of breaking the fast, and marks the end of fasting during Ramadan. Eid Al Fitr is celebrated during the first three days of Shawwal, and falls on the tenth month of the Muslim lunar calendar. Eid is a public holiday in Saudi Arabia, and it is celebrated by Muslims around the world with prayers, meals and gifts.
