The new immersive dining experience is inspired by Marco Polo.
Chefs don’t get much cuter than Le Petit Chef. The world’s smallest chef has been entertaining guests across the world, and is now returning to Saltz restaurant in The Ritz-Carlton Jeddah.
Le Petit Chef is from Marseille, France and is always on an adventure. For Le Petit Chef’s next trip, he is inspired by Marco Polo’s travels. Dine Around the World – In the Footsteps of Marco Polo is an immersive dining experience, which combines cutting-edge technology with a six-course meal.
Le Petit Chef in The Ritz-Carlton Jeddah is a family-friendly dining concept, which will put a smile on your face. The table is the stage and it comes to digital life, thanks to 3D technology that mimics a hologram and clever overhead projectors. Watch as the little chef – he’s only 6cm tall, after all – runs across your table. Plus, there’ll be themed music, plenty of props and a change of scenery projected on the walls.
Diners will be taken on a two-hour gastronomic adventure, which draws on Marco Polo’s travels across the Silk Road. The stops include France, Arabia, India, China and the Himalayas. The little chef travels the world in search of ingredients, and they are bought together on your plate.
At each of Le Petit Chef’s stops, you’ll be served a dish that reflects the region. In Arabia, you start with avocado mint hummus with a tomato and feta cheese salad. While in India, you can tuck into tandoori lamb chops with mango pickle and mint chutney. Then in China, you can savour jumbo prawns with yuzu marinade.
Le Petit Chef in The Ritz-Carlton Jeddah starts from SAR 499 for the classic journey, SAR 699 for the grand expedition, and SAR 249 for children. The dining experience takes place from Sunday to Thursday at 6.30pm and 9.30pm, on Friday at 2pm, 6.30pm and 9.30pm, and on Saturday at 2pm and 8pm.
Food and frolics – sounds fun to us.
