Archi: The Riyadh café where staff and sweets are covered in bubble wrap

Pop into the popping café.

Saudi Arabia is filled with exciting coffee shops. Archi has mixed things up with its new café in Hittin, Riyadh. The café is wrapped in bubble wrap – we’re talking the walls, doors and staff. So, if you want to check out the novelty spot, here’s what you need to know. 

Visitors can spot the Insta-friendly site, as it stands out with its bubble wrap exterior and Archi logo. Inside, you’ll go through arches wrapped in white sheets and orange tape. Everything from the boxes of cakes, chairs and tables are covered in bubble wrap. Plus, the staff wrapped up and on hand with bubble machines. 

The décor includes the rabbit logo on the walls and playful statements on the pillars. If you’re partial to popping, there is no judgement. We spotted signs saying: “pop it, we know you want to” and “it’s like a reward”.

Archi’s hot drinks include a Cortado, Flat White, Hot Americano, Hot Latte, Hot Spanish Latte, Hot White Mocha, and Hot V60. The cold drinks include an Espresso Milkshake, Iced Americano, Iced Archi Shaken, Iced Latte, Iced Spanish Latte and Iced V60. Archi’s sweets include French Toast, Oreo Pump, Pecan French Toast, Salted Brownie and Tiramisu. 

Archi’s savoury menu includes an all-day breakfast, sandwiches and salads. The breakfast dishes include an Avocado Tartine, Eggs Benedict, Spicy Egg Buns and Truffle Egg Buns. The sandwiches include a Caprese, Halloumi Eggplant, Pressed Mozzarella, Spicy Tuna, Tuna Avocado and Turkey Avocado. The salads range from the Archi Salad to the Cilantro Salad.

Archi is open daily from 6am to 2am. That’s a wrap.
