Do you know your powerslam from your mandible claw? Well, you’ll be thrilled to hear that WWE Crown Jewel 2023 is returning to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The next WWE is set to take place on 4 November, and looks to be a showstopper.
The World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins faces “The Scottish Warrior”, Drew McIntyre. The pair have fought in the past at WWE Money in the Bank 2020, and the then WWE Champion McIntyre successfully defended his title.
Rollins is from Iowa, United States. In 2005, when he was 19 years old, he made his wrestling debut. His ring name was originally Gixx, and changed to Tyler Black. He has previously held the ROH World Championship, ROH World Tag Team Championship, and Survival of the Fittest title. Plus, he has become a five-time world champion in WWE, as he has won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship twice, WWE Universal Championship twice, and the World Heavyweight Championship once.
McIntyre is from Ayr, Scotland. He originally trained to be a professional football player, and then trained to become a wrestler. In 2003, he made his wrestling debut at British Championship Wrestling. Over his career, he has won the Raw Tag Team Championship, Men’s Royal Rumble and WWE Championship.
WWE Crown Jewel 2023 is part of Riyadh Season. Now in its fourth edition, Riyadh Season takes over the whole city and 60 per cent will be new experiences. The festival welcomes A-listers, from celebrity chefs to singing sensations – BTS were at the inaugural season, after all. Plus, the new experiences include the Barbie World, which pays homage to the doll, and the Legend Museum, which celebrates soccer stars.
