Celebrate American Independence Day
Offering a delicious taste of Americana for the 4th of July celebrations, Black Tap will introduce the Red, White & Blue CrazyShake (AED 69). The patriotic homage to the USA features a creamy vanilla shake covered with vanilla frosting and dotted with red, white and blue sprinkles. An eye-popping slab of layered sponge cake continues the flag-centric theme, with ripples of whipped cream and even more sprinkles adding to the Insta-worthy vibes. American citizens who visit Black Tap’s JBR location over the 4th July weekend can avail a complimentary glass of hops upon the presentation of their United States ID card. Visit the only licensed Ice Bar in the GCC
As the UAE hits highs of 50 degrees Celsius, Dubai’s The London Project has got those chills and they’re multiplying, as it launches the first-ever licensed Ice Bar in the GCC. The venue’s Summer Chills season includes the opening of the brand-new Ice Bar that will be the coolest way to cool down in Dubai this summer. Located on Bluewaters Island, Ice Bar will be serving cocktails from frozen glasses, of course. So, don one of the faux fur coats and snuggle up to the ice sculptures. Entry costs AED 99 and includes a drink inside the bar.

Drink cocktails with ‘The Clumsies’
Cocktail bar, Gilt, located on the 27th floor of Burj Al Arab, is bringing Vasilis Kyritis (co-Owner and Bartender from The Clumsies in Athens, which is currently ranked fourth in World’s Best 50 Bar Awards) for a one-night-only takeover experience. Here, guests are invited to discover a series of four innovative cocktails created in partnership with Gilt’s Head Bartender, Thibault Méquignon. Gilt’s regular cocktail menu will also be available alongside the unique creations on the night.

Embark on a divine date night
Cocooned inside the 9 Lounge at Kempinski Hotel Dubai Mall of Emirates, Garth provides diners with a date night to remember. Begin the meal with Atlantic salmon tartare or beef tartare from the raw bar before moving on to appetisers of artichoke hummus or kale and mixed green salad. Main courses feature a choice of sweet potato risotto with coconut-infused cream, slow-cooked beef cheek paccheri doused with veal jus, or hamour served atop zucchini linguine, scallop velouté and parsley foam. For dessert, couples can indulge in the tiramisu classico or a molten hazelnut chocolate fondant served with malt ice cream. Thursdays, from 7pm. Skate into a science-fiction world
RollDXB will create an interactive science-fiction experience over the Eid Al Adha weekend. The eerie evening will feature supernatural bites and beverages to accompany the roller skating sessions. Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July, from 12pm to 11pm. AED 100 (for one hour between 12pm and 5pm) or AED 120 (for 90-minutes between 6pm and 11pm).

Tuck into jungle-inspired dishes
Diners at Amazónico will be treated to unique flavours from the diverse regions that surround the Amazon River. New menu additions at the DIFC hotspot include Cartaganero Rice (coconut rice and a rich prawn sauce that has been cooked for three hours to concentrate the flavour), Pulpo al Olivo (smoky Spanish octopus, botija olives, quinoa and a potato purée), Padrón Y Maiz (Padrón peppers, sweetcorn, quinoa and panca marination) and Palmito Tempura Maki (Brazilian palm heart, shiitake teriyaki, horseradish cream and pickled mushrooms.

Take a culinary journey to Southern Italy
This month Scalini at the Four Seasons Resort Jumeirah transports guests to Southern Italy with dishes inspired by the fresh ingredients, bold flavours, and scenic splendour of the southern regions of Italia. The gastronomical journey begins in Campania, where diners can enjoy the seasonal delicacy of E Sciurilli Mbuttunati (whole zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella, tomato pesto and burrata). To follow, Scalini takes diners to Puglia to indulge in the Pasta, Patate E Cozze (homemade herbed potato raviolini dressed with basil and parsley oil), before ending with the Sardinian speciality of Merluzzo Su Crema Di Carciofi, Pomodorini Canditi, E Briciole Croccanti Alle Acciughe (seared wild cod with artichoke puree, cherry tomato confit and anchovy flavoured breadcrumbs).
