F1 Weekend: Parties, brunches and race-day revelry

Things are heating up in the capital ahead of F1 weekend.

Alec Monopoly at W Lounge

On Sunday, 12 December, Rich List will be flying in Alec Monopoly from New York to help celebrate Race Day in style. Not only will the acclaimed street artist be DJing, but he will also be creating one of his iconic Monopoly-style masterpieces inside W Lounge at the same time. Sunday 12 December, from 10pm. AED 7,000 minimum spend per table.

Royal Terrace by The Rich List

One of the most anticipated events over the race weekend calendar comes from the Rich List Group who will be taking over the Palm Garden at W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island for the seventh year. The event offers multiple views of the Yas Marina Circuit, plus access to the restricted VIP area where you’ll be able to party into the night with the a-list. Past attendees include The Weeknd, Bella Hadid, Rick Ross, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 December. From AED 300. Elsewhere at the only hotel in the world to span a Formula 1 race track, you can expect epic brunches, parties and celebrations across high-octane locations.

Pink Party at Garage

Take snaps in the pink bathtub or by the high-security sparkling vault before ordering bubbly, delivered on a pink surfboard. With live entertainment from DJ Nuff Said alongside percussionists and saxophonists, this is the ultimate party to find yourself at this race weekend. All Pink Party guests will receive a ticket for the Yasalam After-Race Concert. Friday 10 December from 1pm to 4pm, Saturday 11 December from 12pm to 4pm and 4pm to 7pm, and Sunday 12 December from 4pm to 7pm. AED 650 (indoor seating) and AED 1050 (terrace seating).

Wanderlust at W Lounge

Enter a fantasy jungle and mix and mingle with Wanderlust at W Lounge – powered by Tanqueray. Enjoy track and marina views while you sip, snap and savour the theatrics of the masterful Flairtenders at work. Dress to match the exotic green theme for a chance to win big. Live entertainment across the weekend includes DJ Morad, DJ Kristina and DJ Smokingroove. Friday 10 to Sunday 12 December, from 5pm to 1am. Minimum spend AED 260 and VIP Tables only on Sunday.

Bonito Beach at WET Deck

WET Deck gets a Mallorcan takeover by Spanish fusion concept, Bonito. Expect colourful cocktails, East-Asian flavours and pumping live music from international DJs flying in from across the globe. Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 December, from 12pm to 8pm.

Bonito Nights at Skylite

Bonito, the Mallorcan fusion concept, takes over rooftop venue, Skylite. Party on the W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island’s rooftop, where international DJs will perform show-stopping sets into the early hours. With Bonito flying in their team from Mallorca and Secret Parties adding their signature Dubai party-style, guests are in for a mash-up of The Med and The Middle East. Stormzy at WHITE Abu Dhabi

WHITE Abu Dhabi is officially opening its doors for the first time in the capital during F1 week, promising to bring a one-of-a-kind multi-sensory clubbing experience to the region. The WHITE experience is brought to life by immense state-of-the-art sound, eye-catching visuals, floor-to-ceiling animated LED screens and full-colour crowd scanning lasers. To celebrate a new era for WHITE club, the team has confirmed British Grime star Stormzy will perform on Friday, 10 December.

Bagatelle at Stars N’ Bars

For one night only, Dubai’s ultimate French fine dining experience, Bagatelle, will be making its way to the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021. Bagatelle will be taking over Stars N’ Bars terrace deck to provide a dose of Joie de vivre to the capital. Dance the day away with DJ Emir and DJ Tim Davis, playing your favourite tunes. In true Bagatelle fashion, the celebrations will continue up to 2am, with signature dishes and cocktails on hand to keep you going. Saturday 11 December, from 3pm to 2am. Blue Marlin Ibiza at Stars N’ Bars

The world-renowned Blue Marlin Ibiza returns to the UAE for an exclusive pop up at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 on Sunday, 12 December. Taking over Stars N’ Bars, the acclaimed party place, returns to the UAE after a two-year absence, bringing an infectious Ibiza energy to Race Weekend. Easy Tiger at RUSH

Easy Tiger takes pole position at RUSH, the nightlife venue that hovers over the racetrack. Expect premium views of all the action on the track, with live entertainment, drink deals and brunches. The Italian Way UAE by Peroni Nastro Azzurro will have multiple pop-ups around Yas Island. The brand invites guests to soak up the end-of-season atmosphere off-track and enjoy a stylish celebration over the race weekend. Yas Plaza Hotels’ Central Plaza will be themed as the Yas Plaza Circuit, where a fiesta of neon-accented food stalls welcomes guests to warm up their wheels with an eccentric pop-up featuring Paneer Tikka Kathi Rolls from Rangoli, a tango of flavours from Amerigos, awesome Australian Beef Striploin from Blue Grill, and an assortment of beverages from Stills. Expect gripping F1 racing simulators, arcade machines, photo booths, contemporary musicians and live DJs.
