Experience the Natsuko Shoji X Tori No Su culinary collaboration

Natsuko Shoji, Asia’s Best Pastry Chef 2020, is the chef-owner of Eté restaurant in Tokyo. She is revered for her pastry craft, making intricate desserts featuring livery of leading designer brands, while her bespoke cake-making business counts the likes of David Beckham and René Redzepi as happy customers. She is also a skilled savoury cook, trained in the classical French style, and will be joining forces with Tori No Su, the Japanese fusion restaurant in Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers.

Sample the Fuyu Tasting Menu at 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant

“Fuyu” means winter in Japanese and with the land of the rising sun celebrating purity in winter, so does the culinary team at 99 Sushi. The 11-course menu features the Hosomaki, Spicy Tuna Tartar, Toro Tataki, Sea Urchin Tempura, Temptsuyu Maki and Grilled Foie Nigiri. Of course, no one can resist the 99 Yuzu Cheesecake topped with kunafa ice cream for a sweet finish. Visit Qasr Al Watan’s esteemed ‘Al Barza’

For the first time since its opening in 2019, Qasr Al Watan’s esteemed majlis, ‘Al Barza’ is now open to visitors at the Palace of The Nation. The Emirati Majlis, or council, is the UAE’s deep-rooted cultural tradition of hosting meetings for community members to deliberate and share information amongst each other. A perfect complement to the immersive cultural experience that awaits visitors at Qasr Al Watan, Al Barza is the largest space in the Palace after the Great Hall and holds up to 300 guests. There, visitors can learn about the traditional role of a majlis, which are designated spaces for cultural, political and social gatherings that embody the spirit of participatory politics in the UAE. Qasr Al Watan is open daily from 11am to 8pm.
