Dance the night away at Dubai Opera

Footloose The Musical is shuffling its way from London’s West End to Dubai Opera. The musical is based on the 1980s film. Tap your toes to the 80s soundtrack, and catch a glimpse of the stars Jake Quickenden and Darren Day in action. The musical runs from 5 to 8 October and tickets start from AED 275.

See The Gypsy Queens perform live

Multinational French pop band, The Gypsy Queens, will perform live for two consecutive evenings at Beefbar Dubai this week. Expect wine and fine food backed by a selection of toe-tapping songs performed by the band comprising five singers and musicians. In the past, the Gypsy Queens have performed for the likes of Elton John, Andrea Bocelli, Madonna and over 50 heads of state. Known for their acoustic sets inspired by The Beach Boys and The Beatles, it promises to be an unmissable night of live music. Available on 6 and 7 October, from 9pm.

Party at a Gatsby-inspired Brunch 

Taking guests back in time to the glamour of the roaring 1920s, the Gatsby Brunch at Ray’s Bar provides a flawless fusion of delicious cuisine, live music, classic cocktails and sensational views from the 62nd floor of Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers. The traditional cold bites encompass healthy classics such as Waldorf salad and potted Alaskan crab, while the array of hearty hot bites features delicious morsels such as braised short rib, lamb wellington and spinach and artichoke tart. The decadent journey ends on a sweet note with rhubarb and apple pie, wild berry pavlova, sticky toffee pudding and more delectable and perfectly crafted desserts. Fridays, from 5pm to 9pm. Visit a water circus 

We are buzzing with excitement as Cirque du Liban, the Middle East’s first travelling water circus, have put together a show bursting with spectacular stunts and amazing aerialists. The Fontana show at Festival Bay is so unique that it takes place in the tailor-made Aquatic Theatre. The big top tent has seats arranged in a grandstand format, so you won’t miss a drop of the water-packed action. The thrilling theatrics range from a dancing musical fountain to motorcycle stunts. During the show, you’ll be wowed by a range of circus performers including dancers, aerialists and good old-fashioned clowns. Available daily.
