Enjoy a funky bar takeover
Clap Dubai has launched the first of its ‘Tipsy Tomodachi’ bar takeovers. The first edition is a collaboration with 28 HongKong Street, one of Asia’s 50 Best Bars. 28 HongKong Street will showcase five specially curated concoctions designed by Head Bartender Lukas Kaufmann and Senior Bartender Akmal Haqim. They will be flying in from Singapore to demonstrate their signature style. Available on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 September, from 8pm to 1am.

Experience Mediterranean chic at Dubai Creek
Located at Park Hyatt Dubai, the majestic 100-meter infinity lagoon at Twiggy by La Cantine is a private beach far from the Arabian Gulf. Featuring elegant sun loungers and pristine white sands, the lagoon is the ideal spot for taking it all in with a drink in hand while marvelling at the Dubai skyline and historic creek. Elsewhere, the restaurant adds some French chic to Dubai Creek, serving a Mediterranean-inspired menu.

Visit a hip-hop art exhibition
British artist John Charles is hosting his first international exhibition at Rove City Walk Hotel. The Modern Poets collection is inspired by hip-hop and rap legends, past and present, including Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Slick Rick, 2Pac and Ice Cube. The Liverpool-based artist has been dubbed the ‘Scouse Van Gogh’ by his following and is renowned for his bold use of vibrant colour, palette knife techniques and signature gold lines. Relive your prom night
This weekend, Those Guys Events and Hyde Dubai are teaming up to help you relive your teenage dream. For those in doubt, this is definitely not your typical “prom-night-at-the-highschool-gym”. The “prom committee” behind this event has many cool things planned, transforming Hyde Dubai’s ballroom into a jungle disco wonderland with lush foliage, giant disco balls, and neon signage. Toronto’s DJ Lissa Monet will be headlining the entertainment along with Crown Prince and Jester. Friday September 30, from 9pm to 3am. AED 100 per person (including one welcome beverage).

AURA Skypool Lounge, the famed island in the sky, will offer a selection of wellness classes and special treatments, allowing guests to enhance their well-being at new heights. On Saturday, guests can participate in ‘Power Fit’, a unique vinyasa-liked sequenced class that focuses on building strength and endurance to relieve stress and release toxins through sweat. Blending Far Eastern cuisine with Western influences, brunch at the FACT Award-winning Mimi Kakushi boasts flavourful tweaks to Japanese favourites. Brunch is served in a stunning space that transports diners to the swinging jazz age in 1920s Osaka. Expect beef tataki with truffle ponzu, sesame-dressed seaweed salad, black cod and prawn gyoza, Kushi Angus beef, black cod with citrus miso sauce and glazed corn-fed baby chicken.
