Relive the 90s

The 90s weren’t just about debating if Ross and Rachel really were on a break or not — it was also the era of iconic boybands. Now, event management company MAC Global is fuelling our obsession further with a concert by A1 and 911, both of whom will perform in Dubai for one night only on Friday, 22 September, at The Agenda in Dubai Media City. CÉ LA VI Dubai is celebrating Negroni month with flair. For one night only, the sky-high venue with unrivalled views of Burj Khalifa will host Erik Lorincz for an exclusive bar takeover. The renowned mixologist and recipient of the World Class Bartender of the Year award in 2010 will showcase his mixology marvels Friday, 22 September, from 8pm and 11pm.

This sky-high brunch allows guests to sample some of Mott 32’s most celebrated dishes whilst enjoying the views across Bluewaters, Palm Jumeirah and Ain Dubai. Experience a night of musical magic at Honeycomb Hi-Fi, the region’s first listening bar. For those seeking a remarkable musical journey, expect DJ sets from Cascou (9pm to 11pm) and DJ Disco Arabesquo (11pm to 3am). Also known as Moataz Rageb, Disco Arabesquo is an Arabic music collector, DJ and sociologist. He skillfully bridges the gap between Arabic and Western music, delving into the rich sounds of Arabic music spanning the ’80s, ’90s, and ’00s, originating from the Middle East, North Africa, and its diaspora. Get into the groove at Amazónico

Step into the enchanting realm of Amazónico’s lush indoor oasis and be whisked away to the sun-drenched beaches of Brazil as you savour a barbecue-sharing-style menu while enjoying the sultry melodies of Bossa Nova. As the musical duo provides the soundtrack to a memorable afternoon, dive into a selection of charcoal-grilled meats such as Argentinian Chorizo, New Zealand Leg of Lamb, Orange-marinated Veal Ribs and Peruvian chilli-marinated Baby Chicken. Chefs Grégoire Berger and Josh Niland will dazzle guests with an exclusive four-hands dinner at the FACT Award-winning Ossiano at Atlantis, The Palm this weekend. Their innovative “gill-to-fin” cooking approach will showcase extraordinary ingredients paired with inspiring techniques. Diners can expect dishes demonstrating “fish butchery” techniques, such as jerk turbot head with Jamaican spice and citrus, needle-nose fish served with a warm shiso dressing, and even fisheye ice cream. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Ambassador Lagoon at the renowned one-Michelin-starred Ossiano, this menu reflects the sustainability ethos of both chefs, emphasizing their commitment to reducing food waste. Celebrate Negroni week

The newly opened Chez Wam has become the talk of the town as one of the hottest new restaurant openings this summer. The venue at St. Regis Gardens will celebrate Negroni week with seven cocktail creations served from the 10-meter-long marble bar. The beverages on offer include 1919 Negroni (AED 75), Clarified Negroni (AED 75), Golabgiri Negroni (AED 80), Negroni Classico (AED 65), Negroni Sbagliato (AED 65) and Spiced Negroni (AED 80). Available until 25 September.
