Egyptian comedian Bassem Youssef is coming to the UAE

Mark your calendars because Egyptian comedian Bassem Youssef is all set to grace the UAE with his unique brand of humour. This comedic talent will be performing at Theatre by Erth in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, 25 November.
Prepare to be in splits as Bassem Youssef brings his witty sense of humour to the stage. You’ll be struggling to catch a breath because this talented comedian will be going on non-stop with his anecdotes.
But that’s not all. Bassem Youssef will also be featured as a keynote speaker at the Sharjah International Book Fair on Friday, 10 November. While details about the session are still under wraps, it’s being billed as a “public dialogue,” promising some deep insights into major global issues and, of course, some humorous anecdotes from his creative journey.
These appearances aren’t his first in the UAE. The comedian was in Dubai in July 2023, performing at the Mall of the Emirates Theatre, and was also in the country last year.
Before his leap into the world of comedy, Bassem Youssef was a renowned heart surgeon, which makes his journey all the more fascinating. He’s often hailed as the Arab World’s answer to Jon Stewart and his international recognition includes being named one of the “100 most influential people in the world” by Time magazine in 2013. His recent interview with Piers Morgan has been going viral on social media, raking in millions of views.
