NBA Fan Appreciation Day event unveiled for NBA Abu Dhabi Games

This is your chance to dribble with your favourite basketball stars.

Basketball fans, get ready to dribble with excitement. The NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2023 are back, and they’re bringing a series of fan events that are bound to make your heart race faster.

On Friday, 6 October, you can experience the very first NBA Fan Appreciation Day in Abu Dhabi at the Etihad Arena. Get up close and personal with players from the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves, and even rub shoulders with NBA legends like the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Kenny Smith. You’ll also witness some skills challenges, three-point contests featuring your favourite players, and slam dunks from professional dunkers. It’s going to be a hoop-lover’s paradise.

And that’s not all. The NBA District is back too. From 5 to 8 October, head over to Manarat Al Saadiyat for an interactive fan extravaganza. Meet the stars – Tim Hardaway Sr and Gary Payton. Shoot some hoops on a full-size NBA court, catch the highlights, snap a photo with the Larry O’Brien Trophy, snag limited-edition NBA merchandise and much more. 

If you’ve already purchased a ticket to the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2023, you can get your pass to the NBA Fan Appreciation Day now. But fret not if you haven’t, because these will be up for grabs starting 14 September. For NBA District, tickets are available at AED 55 for a one-day pass and AED 180 for a four-day pass.

Abu Dhabi is the place to be for all basketball lovers. The capital has been tuning into the games since the late 80s which shows that the love for basketball here is pretty strong.
