CARIBBEAN RESTAURANT PALM BAY OPENS AT CLUB VISTA MARE

The new beachfront restaurant opens its doors today.

A bright new restaurant has opened its doors at Club Vista Mare on Palm Jumeirah. Palm Bay is a fresh and funky new concept that offers informal social dining with a taste of the Caribbean.

Step away from the sandy shoreline, and inside you’ll discover colourful furniture, neon signs and Instagramable murals with phrases like “your vibe attracts your tribe.” Outside on the terrace, there is a choice of two gardens to sit back and relax in while you sip a chilled beverage and savour the beachfront views.

Soul food is the name of the game at Palm Bay, and for those unfamiliar with Caribbean cooking, expect a fusion of African, Cajun, Creole, European and Latin American influences. The food is said to be full of flavour and massively moreish and comes from Palm Bay’s Head Chef Gregory. Born and raised in Saint Vincent; he went to ply his tasty trade in Barbados before taking his talents to the United States, England, Poland and South Africa. Every country along the way has flavoured his cooking style, but to this day, his grandmother’s home cooking in The Caribbean remains his most significant kitchen influence.

An extensive beverage menu is available to complement the food, with everything from fresh fruity mixed drinks to no-nonsense cold ones to quench your thirst. Plus there are several daily offers to encourage diners to the new opening.

Tuesday’s are ladies nights with 50% off food for ladies from the Havana Nights menu and three complimentary selected beverages from 7pm to 12am. Thursdays call for unlimited wings plus a choice of six dipping sauces for just AED 99 and on Saturdays you can tuck into the Palm Bay Island Roast, offering a selection of four roasts with unlimited sides and two house beverages for AED 150, from 12pm to 10pm.

The restaurant is open from morning until night, so whether it’s your morning coffee, a lunchtime meeting or a late-night celebration, Palm Bay has you covered.
