Catch the noughties stars at Bla Bla Dubai.
If iPods, Popworld and Heat magazine mean something to you, then you’ll be excited about Mixtape Dubai. Taking place at Bla Bla Dubai on Saturday, 18 November, the concert brings together the biggest names from the noughties. Hosted by DJ Chris Moyles, the line-up includes Busted, Sugababes, Snap! and Vengaboys.
The British punk band Busted hail from Southend-on-Sea, Essex. The original members include Charlie Simpson, James Bourne and Matt Willis. The group had four UK number-one singles, and are best known for the songs ranging from Sleeping With the Light On to What I Go To School For. Plus, Year 3000, which was a nod to the film Back to Future, has racked up more than 18 million views on YouTube and 104 million streams on Spotify.
Over the years, the British girl group Sugababes’ line-up has revolved like expats in Dubai. The founding members will be coming to Dubai: Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy. The group achieved six UK number-one singles with About You Now, Freak Like Me, Round Round, Hole in the Head, Push the Button, and Walk This Way.
Mixtape Dubai’s line-up also includes the Euro dance group Snap! and Vengaboys. Snap!’s hits include the dance anthems Rhythm is a Dancer and The Power. Vengaboys’ hits include the catchy Boom, Boom, Boom!! and We Like To Party.
British DJ Chris Moyles is best known for hosting The Chris Moyles Show on BBC Radio 1, and achieved an audience of 7.1 million listeners. He had a controversial sense of humour on air, and would regularly hit the headlines for his jokes.
