See Bastille live

Bastille have made a name for themselves with their distinctive fusion of indie pop, electrifying sounds, and thought-provoking lyrics. Their debut album, Bad Blood, unleashed in 2013, sold over a million copies in the UK and stormed to the top of the UK Album Charts. Experience the Last Supper in Pompeii 

Heston Blumenthal has created a unique interpretation of the Last Supper in Pompeii. Using the carbonised and organic remains of food unearthed by archaeologists Taste History, the menu is inspired by the rich food culture of this ancient town and how food played an integral part in daily life. The special menu at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal will give guests a taste of history, commemorating the ancient Roman town immortalised by the ash of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. Dishes include authentic Pompeiian bread and a modern take on libum, a dessert based on baked fresh cheese curds. Available daily from 1 to 30 November, from 6pm to 11pm. AED 1,250 per person.

Friday 3 November 

Get that festive feeling 

Al Habtoor City has welcomed back its jovial Winter Garden. Located in front of Habtoor Palace Dubai, the outdoor venue features a variety of street food kiosks, a plethora of dining experiences, live entertainment and fun activities for the little ones. Come December, the Christmas tree lighting ceremony will fill the Winter Garden with illuminations and plenty of festive cheer. Open daily until 31 January 2024, from 4pm to midnight. Be serenaded by Bryan Adams

Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams will perform at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena as part of his highly anticipated So Happy It Hurts World Tour. His hits such as (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, Heaven, and Summer of ’69 have become timeless anthems, and having previously performed in Dubai at the Autism Rocks Arena in 2017, Adams’ return to the city promises to be a momentous occasion. Sip on a special afternoon tea

In an exceptional collaboration, Paul Occhipinti (a Meilleur Ouvrier de France award winner) and Christophe Devoille of Atlantis The Royal will present an afternoon tea experience at The Royal Teamroom. Guests can tempt their taste buds with a mushroom duxelle tart with black truffle or the lobster and prawn cocktail. Indulgent sweet treats, meanwhile, will include raspberry and centifolia rose petals from Grasse, a crunchy meringue lemon tart, tiramisu, coffee extraction, as well as lemon pound cake drizzled with olive oil. 4 and 5 November, from 2pm to 5pm. Prepare for a night under the stars

The FACT Award-winning Galaxy Bar is back with its new ‘Eyes on the Stars’ menu. Gather under the stars and select from twelve new cocktails that will illuminate the night. Among these creations, the Andromeda stands out – a highball Basil Smash infused with the unique essence of Butterfly Pea Tea. Elsewhere, the Cloud 9 emerges as a velvety and delicate rum-based concoction that remarkably retains its transparency. Galaxy Bar’s new mobile app lets guests immerse themselves in a 3D experience that reveals the menu by simply pointing their cameras at the star-filled ceiling.

Continuing Grégoire Berger’s 2023 line-up of world-class culinary collaborations, the acclaimed chef behind the FACT Award-winning Restaurant of the Year 2022, Ossiano, will unite with one of Spain’s most influential chefs, Andoni Luis Aduriz of Mugaritz. Paying homage to seasonality and world-class produce, guests will embark upon an immersive journey, with every chapter of the story interpreted through the culinary lens of each chef. 8 and 9 November, from 6pm. Relax and reset

Mindset and wellness coach Kai Simmonds will host a sunset yoga and connection class set in collaboration with Helipad by Frozen Cherry at Festival City. This comprehensive class has been designed to reinvigorate the body and mind, featuring a 60-minute yoga flow session as the sun sets, followed by a social gathering that encourages individuals to connect and unwind together after a taxing day. Try your hand at a ceviche masterclass

SUSHISAMBA will celebrate its second anniversary by collaborating with Mission Ceviche from New York. For the first time in Dubai, guests can savour the flavorful Peruvian-inspired creations of Chef José Luis Chavez, intertwined with the beloved flavours from Culinary Director Chef Kyung Soo Moon’s SUSHISAMBA Dubai. The FACT Award-winning venue will host a Ceviche Making Masterclass led by both culinary masterminds, followed by a sit-down lunch for ten guests. See controversial rapper 6ix9ine perform

Music fans, we have some big news. Controversial rapper 6ix9ine is coming to Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on 11 November – and he’s bringing friends. The event forms part of the Sundance DXB Vol. 4 – Hip-Hop Edition and will see the rapper, known for the hit tracks GummoFEFE and TROLLZ, take to the stage. Joining him on the night will be British-Ghanaian artist Kojo Funds and the American rappers and frequent collaborators Polo G and NLE Choppa.

This Diwali, FACT Award-winning restaurant, The Crossing, presents a personalised dining experience for your festive celebrations. Chef Jitin Joshi has meticulously crafted a set menu featuring their signature dishes like Patti Chaat and Chicken Makhan Malai, alongside some exclusive Diwali specialities. Whether you’re planning a lunch with colleagues or a grand 20-course feast, they have something for everyone. The Special Diwali menus are available from 25 October to 12 November. Uptown Brasserie in the newly opened SO/Uptown now offers a Mediterranean business lunch. Championing the culinary traditions of France, Italy, and the coastal Mediterranean, this business lunch features a rotating selection of dishes. FACT got a first look at DUO Gastrobar in Dubai Hills earlier this summer. The masterful Mediterranean restaurant from Dmitry Blinov and Renat Malikov has launched a breakfast menu featuring a range of dishes to help you kick-start your day. The offering includes Brioche with Chicken Beefsteak and Poached Egg (AED 65), Dranik with Smoked Salmon and Feta Cream (AED 65), Omelette with King Crab and Tomato and Truffle Croque-Monsieur.

Atlantis The Royal was the talk of the town, and that continues with its nightclub. The luxurious Ling Ling Ultra Lounge reopened in style, and offers an intimate yet exclusive experience. The space includes ten tables, bottle service, handcrafted cocktails and premium bubbles. Located on the 23rd floor, it has spectacular views of the Dubai skyline and Arabian Gulf. Catch DJ Arina on Thursdays and Fridays, DJ Michelle Grant on Saturdays, and guest DJs. Plus, who knows who you might spot at the celebrity favourite hotel – when we attended the club’s party, we spotted the cast of Dubai Bling. If iPods, Popworld and Heat magazine mean something to you, then you’ll be excited about Mixtape Dubai. This concert at Bla Bla Dubai brings together the biggest names from the noughties. Hosted by DJ Chris Moyles, the line-up includes Busted, Sugababes, Snap! and Vengaboys. Busted is best known for the songs Sleeping With the Light On and What I Go To School For, while the Sugababes hit singles include Freak Like Me, Round Round, Hole in the Head, and Push the Button.
