Experience the magic of Cirque du Liban’s Pluma in Dubai

The Lebanese circus group are coming to the city this January.

Roll up, roll up. The circus is coming to town. Cirque du Liban’s Pluma is heading to Dubai in Janaury 2024. If you want to catch the Lebanese group’s latest show, here’s what you need to know.

Cirque du Liban’s Pluma describes itself as a grand tapestry of wonder. The name means feather in Latin and embodies the show’s theme of flight. The tagline is: “Welcome to a world where we all fly”.

Cirque du Liban made a splash in the UAE with its show Fontana. The group were the Middle East’s first travelling water circus, visiting Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. In the UAE, the show took place in the tailormade Aquatic Theatre, and we are expecting Pluma to take place in the same big top tent.

Pluma unfolds an enchanting narrative of self-discovery and empowerment, introducing audiences to the captivating journey of Pluma, a young girl fueled by dreams of flight. In the tradition of Fontana, guests will witness the spectacle of acrobats gracefully defying gravity, soaring through the air with unparalleled precision. Prepare for laughter as Pluma’s clowns will bring humour to the grand circus tent while daredevils perform death-defying stunts.

Cirque du Liban is famous for its thrilling theatrics, which are fun-filled and family-friendly. The group’s previous shows have included musical fountains and motorcycle stunts. Plus, aerialists, dancers and old-school clowns.

If you’re looking for more music events in the UAE, there are not just mega festivals but mega artists coming to the country. Upcoming concerts include Ed Sheeran at the Sevens Stadium on 19 and 20 January, R&B superstar Khalid will perform at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on 2 March, and American rapper Macklemore will take to the stage in Dubai on Friday, 4 October 2024.

Cirque du Liban’s Pluma will perform from 17 to 28 January 2024. Tickets are priced from AED 295 and are currently available via Platinumlist.
