The upcoming installment of the hit franchise was filmed in the capital.
Hollywood can’t seem to get enough of the UAE, from the Burj Khalifa stunt in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol to the car jumps in Fast & Furious 7 and the desert landscapes in Dune. The latest blockbuster to shine a light on the region is Now You See Me 3, and its newly released trailer reveals that Abu Dhabi plays a starring role in the high-octane heist sequel.
While the film isn’t due to hit cinemas until 14 November 2025, the trailer gives fans a first glimpse of the Four Horsemen back in action — this time amid some of the capital’s most impressive landmarks. The trailer opens with a dramatic shot of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, setting the tone for a signature illusion that looks bigger and bolder than ever before.
From there, the action ramps up with a high-speed chase through Yas Island, where eagle-eyed viewers will catch familiar street signs and even the city’s sleek Abu Dhabi Police supercars tearing across the Sheikh Zayed Bridge. There’s also a tense exchange between Jesse Eisenberg’s Daniel Atlas and Rosamund Pike’s new character, filmed on the Yas Marina Circuit, with views that can only be captured from the W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island.
Though it’s unclear how many more Abu Dhabi locations will feature in the full film, it’s already safe to say the city plays a major part in the visual spectacle. And if you can’t wait until November, you can always visit the Now You See Me ride at Motiongate Dubai for a taste of the magic.
The Now You See Me franchise first hit screens in 2013, followed by a sequel in 2016. Nearly a decade later, the third instalment is gearing up to be the biggest yet, with Abu Dhabi playing the role of ultimate scene-stealer.
