Post Malone in Abu Dhabi: Catch the rapper in concert

Tickets go on sale today for the Etihad Arena show.

Do the songs Circles, Rockstar and Sunflower get your toes tapping? Well, you’ll be thrilled to hear that Post Malone, the man behind the hits, is coming to Abu Dhabi. The American rapper has announced that he is performing at Etihad Park on December 3, and here’s what we can expect from the show.

Post Malone, real name Austin Post (aka that guy with tattoos on his face), hails from Syracuse, New York. The rapper has gained critical and commercial success for his blend of hip hop, rock and trap. Over his career, he has won multiple awards including three American Music Awards, ten Billboard Music Awards and a MTV Video Music Award. Plus, he has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

Post Malone performed in the UAE back in 2018, as part of F1’s Yasalam After-Race concerts. He stated: “I’m excited to be returning to Abu Dhabi and performing for the incredible audience there again. The crowd for my last show there were electric and I can’t wait to take to the stage and perform for my fans in the Middle East. Together, we’re going to enjoy a fantastic weekend.”

The performer is bringing his Twelve Carat tour to the UAE. However, while on tour he was recently hospitalised after falling through a hole on stage in St Louis, and cancelled an upcoming concert in Boston.

He shared on Instagram: “Today I woke up to cracking sounds on the right side of my body. I felt so good last night, but today it felt so different that it has before. I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.” We are wishing him a speedy recovery.

Music fans will be delighted to hear that there are lots of cool concerts coming to the UAE. Shows include Westlife on 29 September at Etihad Arena, 50 Cent at Coca-Cola Arena Dubai on 30 September, The Script at Bla Bla Dubai on 5 October, and Travis at Dubai Opera on 17 October.

Tickets to watch Post Malone in Abu Dhabi go on sale on 30 September at midday and start from AED 295.
