The WB Abu Dhabi, the world’s first Warner Bros. hotel will open its doors on Yas Island in November.
If your childhood fantasy of staying at a theme park deep into the night à la Night at the Museum remains unfulfilled, listen up. The world’s first Warner Bros. hotel will open its doors in November right here in the UAE, located mere steps away from the award-winning Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park on Yas Island. Entitled The WB Abu Dhabi, the 257-room hotel is the result of a collaboration between Miral and Warner Bros., the birthplace of iconic films and television shows – think: Friends, Harry Potter and all things Looney Tunes.
Operated by Hilton under the Curio Collection brand, the property will welcome guests from Thursday 11 November, inviting guests to see their favourite stories and characters brought to life through unique hospitality experiences that only an entertainment empire of this scale can offer. Featuring one of the finest collections of Warner Bros. archives, this one-of-a-kind hotel will treat guests to a journey of discovery through film and television, courtesy of Warner Bros. production elements at every touchpoint – arrival and check-out included.
While dining in one of five restaurants on the property, you can listen as the piano from Westworld plays a familiar tune. Visitors can stroll through the lobby or admire 360-degree city and sea views alongside a whole host of instantly recognisable props and costumes. And because a hotel stay isn’t complete without room service, kids and families can ring up one of their favourite Looney Tunes characters for a treat brought to them by Bugs Bunny himself. Guests of The WB Abu Dhabi hotel will begin their stay as they pull up to the hotel and are greeted by digital screens that span the height of the building, playing original content created for the hotel. But an iconic structure awaits before you even enter – the Friends fountain.
As guests enter the lobby and take in the hotel’s uniquely designed columns, their immersive journey will continue with guestroom corridors displaying a curated gallery of artwork. Each of the hotel’s 257 rooms is furnished with touches that tie to the legacy of rich storytelling that makes Warner Bros. unique. The curated artwork in the guestrooms, meanwhile, is inspired by three themes: ‘From Script to Screen’ (documenting the journey from the written page to the final shot), ‘Artist Confidential’ (celebrating a variety of talent in front of and behind the camera in some of Warner Bros.’ favourite productions) and ‘The Vault’ (featuring rarely seen images from Warner Bros.’ most memorable archives).
But that’s not all, folks!
Complementing the hotel’s unique design is an extensive and world-class food and beverage programme featuring five dining options catering to both adults and children. Craft Services, located in the lobby lounge, offers a relaxing coffee break after a busy day, while Sidekicks is the perfect place for socialising while enjoying a menu of international bites. For those lounging by the pool in cabanas and sunbeds, The Matinee provides a casual dining option. Additionally, guests looking to indulge in an elegant dining experience can visit The Director’s Club or enjoy an experience at The Overlook, a fabulous lounge with a relaxing infinity pool and beautiful 360-degree city, theme park and sea views.
The hotel will also be home to a host of leisure amenities for guests to enjoy, whether that’s lounging by the family pool area, working out in the fitness centre, relaxing in the spa or shopping at the on-site store, the Prop Shop. For younger guests, the Kid’s Club will offer a vibrant space for play, with some of WB’s most beloved characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and others participating in entertaining activities throughout the property. And yes, the hotel will also cater to business meetings and events through a large ballroom and expansive meeting room facilities.
