The British rockers Kasabian have announced a tour – and it’s coming to The O2 in London on 18 December. The Nothing Better Than This Tour will also visit Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow and Manchester. Tickets go on sale on 17 July at 9am, and what you need to know.
The band hails from Leicester and formed in 1997. The current members are Serge Pizzorno, Chris Edwards and Ian Matthews. Tom Meighan was the band’s original lead vocalist until his departure in 2020, after which guitarist and songwriter Pizzorno took on the role of frontman, guiding the band through a remarkable comeback.
Kasabian released their self-titled debut album in 2004. The band’s hit songs include “Club Foot”, “Fire”, “LSF” and“Underdog”. Over the course of their career, they have scored seven UK number one albums – only their debut failed to reach the top spot. In 2014, Kasabian headlined the Glastonbury Festival. The band is renowned for its energetic live performances and sold-out shows, earning two Q Awards for Best Act in the World.
The tour takes its name from the single “Nothing Better Than This”, which appears on their ninth studio album, “Act III”. The band recently played a sold-out gig at Finsbury Park, London, and their latest album is due for release on 4 September. The band will play Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on 11 December, Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 13 December, Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on 16 December, and Manchester’s Co-op Live on 19 December. Plus, they will be supported by The Vaccines.
