ELGRANDETOTO will play KOKO in London this November.
Taha Fahssi, better known as ELGRANDETOTO (or simply Toto), is one of Morocco’s biggest musical success stories. Hailing from Casablanca, the rapper has become a trailblazer for North African hip-hop. Now, ELGRANDETOTO has announced that he will perform at KOKO London on 23 November.
ELGRANDETOTO performs primarily in Darija – Morocco’s unique blend of Maghrebi Arabic, French and Spanish – and has been taking his sound to audiences around the world. Never shy about dreaming big, ELGRANDETOTO has said he wants to become “the greatest Arab artist of all time”.
After launching his career in 2016, ELGRANDETOTO broke through with his hit single “Pablo”. He went on to release his debut EP, “Illicit”, in 2018. His first studio album, “Caméléon”, followed in 2021 and became one of Spotify’s top six global album debuts at the time of its release. The result: he became one of the world’s most-streamed Arab artists.
His rapid rise has been recognised with multiple accolades, including three Billboard Arabia Music Awards – among them Artist of the Year – as well as Best Hip Hop and Rap Artist at the African Entertainment Awards USA and AFRIMA’s Most Promising African Artist. He’s also collaborated with an impressive line-up of international stars, including CKay, Morad, Baby Gang and Niro, and was named in Forbes’ list of the 50 most successful music stars in the Arab world.
Live Nation pre-sale tickets to see ELGRANDETOTO in London are available from 9am on 14 July. General sale begins at 9am on 15 July. Ticket prices have not yet been confirmed. Check in with FACT for the best things to do do in London.
