Cellarium Café at Westminster Abbey is open for one night only.

It’s rare for firsts to happen in a city like London. Now, Cellarium Café at Westminster Abbey will be opening to the public for dinner for the very first time. Held for one night only, the exclusive experience takes place on 22 June 2026, and here’s how to get hold of tickets.

The opening of Cellarium Café at Westminster Abbey has been created in partnership with Balfour Winery, and it will celebrate English Wine Week. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the setting for royal coronations, weddings and historic national occasions for almost 1,000 years, the Abbey provides a truly spectacular backdrop for an evening of food, wine and history.

Guests will have the opportunity to step beyond the Abbey’s famous Gothic architecture and into its historic 14th-century undercroft. Once used as a storehouse by Benedictine monks, the beautifully preserved medieval space will be transformed into an elegant dining destination. Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or simply looking for a unique night out in London, this special event promises plenty of charm and character.

Following a drinks reception, guests will be treated to a three-course dinner, expertly paired with English wines from Balfour Winery. Throughout the evening, diners will have the chance to sip, swirl and savour wines. Plus, they will be able to learn more about the craft, heritage and growing popularity of English winemaking.

If you cannot make it to the event, Westminster Abbey is open to the public. Visitors can visit Cellarium Café and Terrace during the day. It is open daily from 8am to 4:30pm and offers freshly baked pastries, seasonal breakfasts, and traditional afternoon tea.

The Westminster Abbey Wine Dinner at Cellarium Café takes place on 22 June from 6.30pm to 10pm.
