From Baku to Bucharest, the UAE’s national carrier continues its ambitious expansion.

Etihad Airways has unveiled seven new destinations set to launch from its hub in Abu Dhabi. The latest additions — Almaty, Baku, Bucharest, Medina, Tbilisi, Tashkent, and Yerevan — are part of the airline’s wider strategy to position the UAE as a global gateway for business, leisure, and culture.

Flights to these cities will go on sale in the coming days, with services scheduled to begin in March 2026, except for Medina, which will launch earlier in November 2025. The expansion reflects Etihad’s commitment to connecting travellers with some of the world’s most dynamic and historically rich regions.

This announcement follows the airline’s recent launch of flights to Atlanta, Prague, Sochi, and Warsaw, as well as seasonal summer services to Kazan, Krakow, and Salalah. With 13 more destinations still to be revealed before year’s end, Etihad is on track for one of its most ambitious growth periods to date.

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, commented: “Our goal is clear, we want to bring more people directly to Abu Dhabi. These new routes connect us to fast-growing, culturally rich regions and will help stimulate demand for tourism and trade in the UAE’s capital.

From the sacred heritage of Medina to the architectural beauty of Tbilisi and the energy of Almaty and Baku, each new destination offers a unique draw. Etihad’s expanded network caters to both business and leisure travellers, with world-class hospitality and seamless connections at its core.

Whether you’re looking to explore ancient cities or emerging hubs, Etihad is making it easier than ever to discover new cultures.
