This year marks the tenth annual Emirati Women’s Day celebration, and this year’s theme is hand in hand. Launched by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi, the wife of the late Sheikh Zayed and Mother of the Nation, in 2015, the date was chosen due to the founding of the UAE’s General Women’s Union, which was established on 28 August.
