Abu Dhabi’s food scene is suddenly looking up

Thai eatery Silk & Spice has reopened its doors.

For foodies across the capital, the name Silk & Spice needs no introduction. For others, here’s a brief one: the award-winning Thai restaurant first opened at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche back in 2012 to rave reviews, winning diners over with its rich flavours and relaxed atmosphere – only to close in 2016. Yes, hearts were broken, but now, Silk & Spice is back with a bang.

Reopening its doors once again at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, the always elegant eatery is taking guests on an exotic journey bursting with bold, vibrant flavours and exuding authenticity. Here, you can savour an artful take on Thai classics – think: Thai Green Curry, Phad Thai, Green Papaya Salad, and Mango Sago. Inspired by the lotus flower – an auspicious symbol of beauty, purity, majesty and grace – Silk & Spice’s extensive offerings are crafted to not only serve the best of what Thailand has to offer, but also showcase true craftsmanship through the art of plating.

Elsewhere, the Siam Bar complements the diverse and fiery flavours of Thai cuisine with signature creative mixes that feature distinctly Thai inspiration and carefully curated grape choices ready to be paired with your flair. As for the uninterrupted views of the Abu Dhabi Corniche and Arabian Gulf? Just the proverbial cherry on top.
